Our Process
At Bloom Pediatric Therapy, we offer family-centered speech and occupational therapy uniquely tailored to your child’s developmental stage. Our individualized approach focuses on building confidence and core skills. By integrating practical strategies into your everyday routines, we help your child communicate and thrive while celebrating every milestone together. We empower families with care that fits your life.

1. Initial Consultation
We start with a free 30-minute chat to get to know your family. This is a chance to share your concerns, discuss your child’s unique needs, and explore how we can help.
We’ll review your child’s history together and decide on the best path forward—whether that is a full evaluation, starting therapy, or connecting you with other specialized resources. It is all about finding the right fit for your child.

2. Comprehensive Evaluation
We go beyond one-time testing to understand your child’s true potential. Through a dynamic assessment approach conducted over several sessions, we observe how your child learns and responds to supportive cues, modeling, and therapeutic strategies in person. This multi-session format ensures your child feels comfortable and allows us to see their strengths across different days and interactions.
By gathering data over time and integrating your vital family input with our clinical observations, we develop a deeply individualized plan of care. We focus on creating meaningful goals that reflect your family’s priorities and your child’s unique learning style, ensuring a clear path for progress from day one.
3. Getting to Work
Occupational Therapy (60-minute sessions)
We help children gain independence in daily activities by targeting fine motor skills, sensory processing, feeding, self-care, play, and motor coordination. Every session includes parent education to bridge the gap between clinic and home.
Speech Therapy (30, 45, or 60-minute sessions)
Session lengths are tailored to your child’s endurance and goals. We focus on speech sounds, expressive and receptive language, social communication, literacy, and AAC. Our play-based approach builds functional communication skills for the real world.
Family-Centered Partnership
You are the most important member of our team. Because therapy is only one hour of your child’s week, we provide practical, realistic strategies that integrate into your existing family routines. Together, we ensure your child generalizes new skills and thrives in their everyday environment.
